REVAMPED-Rebuilding Dignity
31/08/2010 - 11:22

A group of 5 women left for Sydney from Melbourne to experience the Colour conference. What an amazing time we had, what a life changing situation. When we watched Nancy’s story we were moved. We then had a high tea at our church and we watched her story again. My friend and I decided we needed to do something to “Be the Change”, we got together and God gave us an amazing idea to raise money for Nancy and all the other ladies that need this life changing surgery that is going to rebuild their dignity.

The project became REVAMPED-rebuilding dignity. Our vision was to get every body’s old jewellery and make it into new revamped jewellery. From the two of us the team grew to 10 ladies and within 2 weeks we had a 30Lt pink wheelie bin full of old jewellery, praise God. The team shared time together watching Nancy’s story, rebuilding jewellery, making friends. Two weeks later we had our first stall. We raised $540, we are booked for 3 more stalls and we are having a big GIRLS NIGHT IN where we hope to auction off jewellery and raise $3000 in one night.

Thank you to all the ladies that haved helped along the way, our hope is that this project will raise money for hundreds of woman like Nancy.

Get inspired girls to start your own projects, or join with us. With God on our side the results are amazing, in yourself and in the people that are helped.

If you would like to contact us email Revamped-rebuilding Dignity at revamped.henry@gmail.com for us to send out of postage paid envelope or send your old jewellery to

44 Watson Street Dromana 3936 Vic

Thank you The Colour Sisterhood what an amazing, life changing conference, can’t wait till next time.

Colour Sisterhood Kuwait
31/08/2010 - 01:53

Hi Bobbie and team,

thank you for the lovely tea cups and tea pot. We had our first colour sisterhood Kuwait meeting on the 19th of June with 20 ladies in attendance. It was such an exciting time with dreams and challenges shared, a buffet breakfast and a message titled: Desert flower. It was a time of pampering and empowering to 'be the change' in Kuwait, raising above all the challenges of injustice, oppression associated with living in Kuwait and shining for God's glory. Our ladies are raising up to meet the needs of other ladies in hospitals and detention center/jail in Kuwait. I am so excited.  We recently did a visit to a detention center providing care packages for 600 inmates. We thank God for his provision to meet some of the needs there. Please keep us in prayer.

Here's a link to our page. To see what we are up to please click on events.

Thanks for giving us an example to follow.

Being the Change in my world
24/08/2010 - 12:46

Hi Bobbie (or one of Bobbie’s girls or whoever  gets this email J )

I bet you get lots of responses after every email you send, as I know it always touches my heart, so I’m guessing it affects others, too. Anyway, as I was pondering what you had written as I was pegging the washing out, I felt a little nudge to tell you what ‘being the change’ looks like for me.

I was at conference 1 at the entertainment centre. During worship on the first night- yep, not even a speaker or anything too profound- God had me in tears. As I was singing my heart out, I watched the girl who does sign language for the deaf sisters. They were signing the words to the songs, even though the words were on the screen.  I noticed that a couple of the women in the crowd were signing the words too, with their eyes shut, having a moment just between them and God. It struck me that they were worshipping Him, for Him. No-one else got to hear their lovely voices and no-one else saw their hand signs, but He knew their heart. So, then I was in tears, but He went further. You know how you always say that we just have to be faithful with what’s in our hand? Well, as well as being mum of three and wife to one and all the other hats I wear, I’m a writer. I write for a local parenting magazine called Sunny Days, and have been doing so for about 2 and a half years. So what do I have that those deaf sisters don’t have? A voice. A literal voice and a figurative voice to impact many. OK God, I get it, I’ll write and use the voice that I have for you, whatever that means. Cue- scrounging around in handbag for tissues and mopping up tears.

So, conference was great. I don’t have to tell you that, you were there. As always, it’s hard to come home and live life in the same way, so we have to process what God wants for us. So I try.

I’ve been in contact with a publisher and I pitch them an idea. The publisher likes the idea. The publisher wants to see more details about this book that is buzzing around in my brain. The concept behind the book is raising kids who will make a difference on the earth. It won’t be a ‘Christian’ book for a Christian audience, but it will have a  strong God-flavour to it.  It will be about making a difference and impacting our neighbourhood, city, country and earth, stuff that is relevant to everybody, but especially to the daughters, the ones who are raising the babies. This generation is going to need to deal with so many issues, or suffer the consequences, so I’m hoping God will help me write this book to impact this new generation with His ideas.

Seeing as I’ve never done this before, it’s a big deal as I’m a total novice, but in my weakness His strength comes out, that’s the plan, isn’t it? J I just thought you might be interested and encouraged to know hat Colour is something He uses to prod so many of us into change, and further along the path He’s set before us.

 Love Jodie

Sisterhood in Bula, Fiji
24/08/2010 - 12:43

Catherine and I hosted a tea party for the ladies from our English service and also invited other ladies in the neighourhood.  There were 12 ladies who attended and we shared with them what Sisterhood was all about and also a brief run through of what we had gained from the Colour Conference.  We had photocopied notes and flyers that I had collected from the conference as part of the pack we gave to the ladies...there was so much interest in the different projects that Sisterhood was part of and Im happy to say that 5 ladies have already confirmed their attendance to Colour 2011...3 have already registered and we are praying that more will be part of our group.  I also shared with the group how important it was for us to be partners in at least one of the projects that had been presented.

We ended the evening with tea and refreshments that was prepared and also watched a DVD of the presentation by Bobbie and her panel...just for our ladies to get a glimpse of the different projects that Sisterhood is part of.

Sharing the Sisterhood in Fiji
24/08/2010 - 12:38

We took on your advice with the little tea pots and I spoke to the youth ministry at church (wesley city mission - Suva, Fiji) to host a mothers day pamper breakfast.

I implied on our youths that a mother’s love is beyond words and measure and deeper than anyone can ever understand. An object of this breakfast was that there are some mother’s in our congregation whose motherly affection go by unnoticed every year and who are given less credit for their hard work than what they truly deserve. So we set our theme to "HE calls my mother, Princess" :) because in Gods eyes..we're still his dear princesses - his little girls!!:)

Anyways, long story short the Moms just loved it!! With the resource materials given I shared my experience of colour 2010 and showed the 4min promotional disc from 2009. Most of them were touched by the message that they're starting their savings to join in on the 2011 colour conference celebration:)yay!!

Be Her Dignity Launceston High Tea
10/08/2010 - 10:15

For 5 years now I have gone to Colour, been filled with compassion and desire to be part of the solution but no
idea how. What could I do???
Then this year in the Sisterhood session showed us the Be Her Dignity Facial Reconstruction and my
heart melted. Straight away I knew I had to do something. I dreamed of having 10 girlfriends in my lounge
room and us raising $300 each. So I took out my teapot and had a "cuppa" with 2 girlfriends and shared
the idea. From that came an event. We planned a high tea. This became a group of 6 girlfriends united in
friendship and cause, to be the change. We were blessed with a function room, many local business gave
us things to either auction or raffle. The community support was amazing. We even made it in the local
Launceston paper twice. I have attached a couple of Pic's for you..140 women, most of who had never
heard of Be Her Dignity or Colour were a part of the Sisterhood and together we raised $9105..
Then i read the email "Kindness is never a one way street" and cried..here we were having cups of tea to support these women and there they are having tea to support other women..it is just amazing.

me, my 10day old baby and 18month old will see you in march!

Greetings from Watoto, Uganda
20/07/2010 - 10:07

I have been desperate to carry out a tea party here in Kampala. So last Saturday our connect group held a tea party for some of the
Watoto mums at Bbira (the second one will take place next month for the remaining mums).

We had great fun baking for them too. So we played games, ate cake, drank tea - one of our members even dressed up as a clown!!

It was so good to see the mums relaxing and just having fun (even with a water bombs!!!). Near the end we just prayed a blessing for them.

So thanks for inspiring us to do something for our community!! It certainly made a difference to them and we hope they pass it on to the children too!!

Lots of love Jane Penry

p.s. word has got out so now we have to do it at Subbi too!!

I came to Colour and thought it was awesome! I've been always inspired, encouraged, uplifted, challenged and empowered to come back to my local church. Your church is a great encouragement of what women can do when empowered, equipped and released into what God's calling them to do and be! Your prayers are much appreciated and I wait in anticipation and expectantly for how God will answer!

My girlfriend and I have just sponsored 3 children between us. What luxury we live in compared to them - we couldn't NOT do something. And now, I have been deeply challenged that these lost children and mothers in the world are MY children and MY sisters. Thank you (VERY big thank you), Bobbie and all of you for the amazing work you are doing bringing this to our attention and being so incredibly encouraging and building up of us women, who (I'm sure) struggle a lot (like me) with feeling like a second-class citizen and of no real use in the world. Keep at it, you're doing a marvellous job"

"love African Babies and have adopted these precious Watoto babies into my heart. Thank you so much for the opportunity to help make a difference to these children. I had a good turn out to my baby shower and we had a lovely time. I used the video I bought from Colour to show my friends what they were contributing to. Thanks for that resource. I will be praying that all the baby items will reach their destination in Africa safely. Thanks again and God Bless."

" I am happy to say that we have finished our effort (a 10km run and 2 km swim around and in our local dam) and that this is the final deposit from our fundraising. Thanks to the amazing generosity of family, friends and our local community, we have raised $4176.75 to pay for a facial reconstruction surgery. I am so in awe of our God because HE did it and because He sees and loves these women. And I am grateful because I got to be a part of HIS hands of love. So, thankyou for organising this! We are very much looking forward to hearing about the woman we were able to help. God Bless You."

We have been so excited about helping a sister in Africa (through the Be Her Dignity Program) A group of over 200 ladies from Nambour and Caboolture got together over various times to raise money for our lady's face restoration. We have been praying for her and even gave her a prayer name 'Gloria" (all glory goes to GOD)

09/07/2010 - 22:46

After colour 2010 my eyes were opened to having my eyes opened, to move in practical ways. I attended with my mum and a friend from a small country town in QLD. We were moved in so many ways!! Through my "eyes wide open" I was able to see a need in someone I had met who basically needed to get her braces taken off (her teeth were sticking out at 45 deg angle, not very dignifying for a women) but as she had just left a bad 11 yr relationship with a suitcase full of clothes and had to start her new life alone, no friends, no family. I felt guilty wanting to raise money for reconstructive surgery when this girl was placed in my life. I shared this burden with my GF who was at colour with me and her jaw dropped. She knew of a dentist in her church who basically did kids dental work for free. 6 wks later she got the courage to approach him and 3 days later her braces were off, extra dental work done stains removed. That's what Jesus does!! Amen.... I continue to take this beautiful girl under my wing. I have done practical stuff like giving her our spare bed so she doesn't have to sleep on the floor, a tea towel and even found her a twin tub washing machine, just small stuff but I can see the big differance it makes. I thank God he placed her in my life. She has an awesome faith for what she has gone through. I am bringing her to colour with me next year we are making sure of that!! Can you please pray for her as she is entering a court battle to get even custody of her children. Also for healing of her wounds and scars from the past. Thank you and God Bless you all (sorry if i have sent you my story already)

Lynette from Perth sent us a lovely email this week telling us that she has raised $1300 in her first "movie night" event for one of the ladies in Uganda needing facial reconstruction surgery!

"Thank you for the opportunity of being a part of this program.  We are having so much fun and finding it’s a great tool to make others aware, especially non Christians who are more than generous to listen and to contribute."

THANK YOU LYNETTE!

From the Compassion Australia Office

"Through Colour Conference 2010, hundreds of lives in the Philippines were changed. When the hearts of delegates reached out to their sisters in the Philippines through Compassion, they gave Filipino women and their children hope. Hundreds of children now have sponsors and three Filipino churches have the support needed to care for over 100 women and their babies through the Child Survival Program. It is wonderful to see women are still supporting children and mothers in the Philippines through the Compassion website. To all the women at Colour who joined the Sisterhood to support these mothers and children, we say a very heartfelt thank you."

Just recently it was my 15th birthday. A few friends, my mother and i went to Colour Conference No#1 in Sydney from Albany, Wa. We were all impacted, but for me, it was life-defining-so inspiring... i experienced a God whisper-in the Sisterhood Morning and from this inspiration, impartation, revelation my everyday life is extraordinary-my life is be the change inspired. Be Her Dignity facial reconstruction really inspired me...i have a life defining quote thingo - CAPTURE.life.moments.kindness.creativity.inspiration and this Be Her Dignity intiative, really 'hit home' - i believe God planted this 'rebuild a smile and dignity' in my heart beforehand, throughout the 15 years gone by... so for my birthday, i gathered all the inspired girls, the inspiring mothers and the spiritual mumma's in our amazing church, Troode St Christian Family Church, 'we are living in amazing days' in Albany.... to the point... :) this afternoon we went to a beautiful, inspiring coffee shop, enjoyed chocolate and had a Sisterhood Be the change Tea Party :) i talked to God, my mother and my friends and the sisters in my world were awakened to this need, our blessing and our responsibility to do something for her, the women our God loves. and so embellished a jar,, and in faith i chose a large jar:) And together the girls gave $600 for the Be Her Dignity-facial reconstruction initiative. what a success! How Great is our God. this was honestly the best birthday ever - and it's just the beginning... just one God whisper, a message, an inspiration, a thought, at Colour Twenty10. Glory to God for he is so good, so beautiful, So EXTRAORDINARY. my mum is going to send the monies ASAP and i'll see if i can upload a photo somewhere:) We can rebuild her smile and dignity:) WE ARE SISTERHOOD, glory to God. lovingly, Lu.

The week leading up to the Conference was trying, to the point that I knew someone did not want us there. My daughter has two small children 1yr,2yr. We were very late on thursday night,
( couldn't get away from work) But to our astonishment, we were ushered to the second front row. GOD Wanted Us There !!!.
Friday saw the two littlies come down with high temps, and vomiting thru the night !!! We prayed over them and managed to attend Saturday. Thank you, you wonderful Gals in Kids Church, you are awsome and VERY Necessary!!! God Bless you and Bless you
On Friday at the 2pm break we took the boys back to the hotel for a sleep (and us). I tried to sleep but was very restless and couldnt settle. I heard God say HCR. " what, I said " What has HCR got to do with my thoughts at this moment and I'm trying to sleep, I don't want to think about work ???" HCR is our business - Hawkesbury City Realty, we are Real Estate Agents ( dont hold this against us) THis year I am re marketing Hawkesbury City Realty as
HCR Sales : HCR Rentals : HCR Strata. To celebrate our 20th year in business.
Then I heard God say H C R Compassion. HELP thru CHRIST is a REALITY !! Amazing. I began to think about the eight gals we have on our staff, and felt impressed that each one was brought to HCR for a reason, I felt God say " each one is a compassionate gal, deeply compassionate.
At present we are re doing our web site and to date we now have HCR Compassion in the making.
With the idea of making our clientel aware of our now 3 charities Compassion, SisterHood and Heart of Hope. My mind was filled with thoughts and ways we could implement to make an impact.so I continued to toss and turn.
I had a staff meeting to day to launch HCR Compassion to our wonderful Eight gals. They accepted it with great passion as if, they had been to the conference with us. One lady said, " let'S not have a Christmas party this year, but put the money to HCR Compassion, and take $5 out of my pay each week, another, how we could share this with our landlords and strata members another began organising a stall at next years Hawkesbury Show - to fundraise from the show and get our message out there, visit our local schools and churches, prayer groups and share the message , an other lady has taken up the orgaisation of dates, meetings etc calling a meeting for 2 weeks after we have had time to think it over and come up with other ways and means of supporting our venture. WOW !! How amazing. I gave them all a cup and saucer which they all loved and will use with pride. We have now 3 charities we will support Compassion, SisterHood and Heart of Hope. I was so excited to see their enthusiam. At the end of the meeting, my P A said " Catherine, look, this man just phoned up and wants to list his house for sale with us, I think we should go back into the meeting and keep going and let God do the Business. Wow !!!!!!!!!!!! She is 19yrs I have been astounded at the deepth of committment these girls are showing and how proud I am of them all
6 of the gals would be christian and proberly the other two would say their not - but it will not stand in the way of us pulling together and working together for the cause God has called us to. So, EIGHT GALS FROM HAWKESBURY CITY REALTY WILL BE AT THE CONFERENCE in 2011!! WOW !!! HOW AWSOME, they ALL want to go AND we ARE ALL going!!!!!!!!!!!
Praise God YOU ARE AN AWSOME GOD AND WE LOVE IT WHEN YOU WORK THROUGH US!!! THANK YOU JESUS AND thank you Bobbie and everyone for sharing this with us and giving us the opportunity to PARTNER with you to further the Kingdom of God.

Wow what an amazing conference!!!!! I was at colour 2010 with my 5 of my 6 daughters and my daughter in law, mother in law my 2 grandaughters and 3 friends. My youngest daughter Ellie who is 11 was so blessed by the whole conference she was taking notes and really loved Prisilla Shirer, she has come home and is busy organising events to help support the sisterhood initiaves, with her sisters Amber 16 and Jess 15 are planning fashion parades , high teas and prayer groups. They have already contacted A21 to find out how they can help. My oldest daughter Renee had a major financial breakthrough at colour she gave her last $10 on SAT night and God literally gave her a hundred fold return on Monday night, her 9 yr old daughter wants to know how old she has to be to go to colour her 5 yr old wants a sisterhood teapot. My mother in law handed me the money to book her into the conference on Sunday night when I dropped her home. My friends are bringing their daughters next year and I am believing that my daughter who is away from God at the moment will be at colour with us next year. God is the beyond , beyond , beyond and HE is awesome . We as a family will be part of the change, AMEN.

15/03/2010 - 14:19

hello! I have just returned from Colour 2010, my first Colour!! How amazing! i have an idea that i would like to share. i have really felt moved by the stories of human trafficking, i have heard it before it is not new, but i have been moved, not a a sort of conscious (sp?!) level, but rather on a sort of sub-conscious level. just know i have to do something. i saw the journals and things on sale at the expo; i had just made one for my friend that invited me, as i have just started stamping and papercrafting recently and wanted to thank my friend for inviting me. i thought to myself if i could make some more notebooks / journals they could sell them next year at colour to raise money for the trafficking program!!. Do you think you could do this? when i raised it with my friend she said we should get the ladies at church doing it too, and i have my fellow homeschooling mom's who i am sure would love to do it too, as many of them are keen crafters. but i need to raise it with my husband, so please pray for that as i am a real ideas person, and he is so practical! and will ask when i will have the time to do it, and homeschool my son etc. etc. ! Please pray he will enable and support me to do it if it is Gods will and that i indeed will find the time and energy to organise and do it and that i will continue to not put aside the other priorities in my life. I woudl love to know if it would be possible (perhaps) to sell them next year. Thanks, it was a wonderful conference! Cheers.

14/03/2010 - 23:49

Hey, my name is Della and I wanted to share my thoughts on what is going through my mind after coming back from Colour 2010: Colour Conference March 2010 - i AM SISTERHOOD its not about me, i am saved. i will be with Jesus, our saviour and worship God our creator in Heaven one day soon forever and that, that is peace. this, it's not about us either, us meeting as a religious practice. Its about the Church, it's about the people of this world who don't know God, who don't know their purpose, their creator or their God. I saw the need yesterday. It was on screen, but it was with real people. Real people that are hungry, that are lonely and who are doing things that are inhumanie beyond their will. What i have written seems normal. Seems what someone else has written.. but i guess you can't write something like this if you dont have the heart for it in the first place. GOD =LOVE 100%. He cannot love 99% or say 44%... To touch some people, we need to cover the basics before reaching deeper- physically, emotionally, socially, mentally, spiritually. BUT without even being there, we can work spiritually, we can have a heart for what they are going through. we can pray against strongholds.. against the devil, against fear, pain and hurt. WE CAN BREAK IT IN JESUS' NAME. As a church, as THE church we can reach people.. imagine 250thou women praying against human trafficing in India and the power that would have in the heavenlies, the spiritual relm. Death can not stand God.. God rules. He overrules. I saw, physical abuse and human bodies being made whole. I saw human trafficking and God's power and people showing up. I saw loneliness to those that shouldn't be lonely and one simple task reguarlly taking those people out of nowhere to being somewhere. THIS CANNOT DIE INSIDE ME. As Dr Robi said, if you don't use it, you lose it (e.g. stoke victims and brain use). Don't get tired of doing good. It just takes YOU. Asking God, where can i touch today? listening AND doing. Not only that but following that path, Jesus did the will of God and only the will of God.. I know, i know, i know that i will let this go if i don't use it. If i am not my sisters keeper. i am sisterhood, we are all sisters, right across the globe. I will type up these notes and keep them to remind me to act. to go and do in Jesus' Name WITH JESUS' heart. Catch his heart. idea - get all verses, email them to me and everyday at random times, let it pop up to remind me..i am here to serve. to be the hands and feet, not the tail or the heart... its god's heart and my hands and feet. This is real. Im not joking. i am not. it's everywhere and Prayer is HUGE. massive. and worth doing. Lets. Change. The. World. In Jesus' Name.

We are Indonesian and got married in 1988, my husband was not a believer when we got married. The married was in a great tribulation for the first 13 years, through all trials, he was mostly lying, committed adultery, trapped in monkey business caused to great debt, sold almost all our belonging, never been responsible to family's financial (I had to work full time and fulfill my needs and my son's). At the very early stage of our marriage I went to Sydney to take college degree and when I knew at the very first time that he had another young woman, a Japanese one, I planned to commit suicide, but GOD saved me through a taxi driver whose I believed was sent by HIM. At 1990, he repented for a while and being baptized at Presbyterian's Church. When we got back to our home country he turned back to his crazy behavior, even getting more worse than before. I had contacted a lawyer for a divorce procedure in 1997, but when I saw my son's eyes were so empty when his father ran away from home, then I started to search for help from few pastors. Thank GOD, through very long prayer personally and in a cell group and a great help of a pastor who has a great passion, our marriage was restored firstly in 2001. I Corinthian 7 was the chapter that was a beginning of a breakthrough. HE mad well of me first before I could forgive my husband, just like JESUS said to Peter: 7 x 70 times we have forgive someone. From that chapter GOD opened my spiritual eyes and gave me capability to pray, forgive and even ask for blessing for my husband. And with an obedient heart I did special prayer everyday at 3.00 a.m., very early in the morning, from October 2000 upto March 2001 (until the point of his repentance). I experienced power of forgiveness pouring into me, and it became a strong anointing for me which enabled me to be very cool, peace from the LORD moved into my heart, no more anger, fighting, arguing, complaining. Slow but sure, the restoration is on going (broken heart do not only need deliverance but also need inner healing, which I experienced take a long time) I am now involved in a church called GBI KIA, a bethel church in a suburb close to Jakarta, capital of Indonesia and have responsibility as a head of Lady's Department. My Pastor: Ps. Sylvia Yosaputra enrolled me to Colour Your World Conference in Sydney for 18th-20th March 2010, but very hard to get visa entry. She got the visa but I was rejected. Do hope I can go, but I leave it to HIS will. Amin

I wanted to be part of a generation who has decided to 'love her world madly' no matter what! 3 years ago i heard about the Watoto project the vision of Marilyn and Garry Skinner at Colour and i knew that this was a way to care, to love to change the generations to come. I was determined not to leave with good intentions but with resolve to do something.
We took a deep breath and stepped out – we did everything we could think of and all of a sudden, house number 1 eventuated. We realized we couldn’t stop after 1. Our hearts were sewn forever.
Project number 2 was a high school for Bbira - One Sunday at church i had a gift of $10 from a child, then 5min later a gift of $300 from a single mum, followed by another gift of $500 from a family, then an hour later a gift of $2000. It was surreal how the money just flowed in.
I’ve only just returned from Uganda after building side by side in the red muddy soil and supernaturally, we already have half the funds for project number 3.
Dreams do have wings God just needs men and women to be bold enough... brave-hearted enough to believe we can make the difference!! He goes before and makes the paths straight so that we can run.. he stretches out the highway for the righteous.
